Empathetic Connection and Problem Solving
I am a clinical psychologist providing online assessment and therapy who is passionate about working with people of all ages, families, and couples looking for support with a broad range of difficulties. This includes anxiety, depression, anger, obsessive thoughts, compulsive behaviours, panic, sleep issues, grief, stress, trauma, burn-out, relationship stress, infidelity, communication issues, and low self-confidence.
As a therapist, I work collaboratively with you to help understand your current difficulties and support you in making changes to reach your goals through providing evidence-based practices and therapies. I aim to provide a compassionate, safe and non-judgemental space for you to learn more about yourself.
Therapeutically, I offer approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness therapy (see Services for details) which I tailor to fit your needs.
If you or someone you care for is in immediate danger, please call your local crisis team or 111.
I understand finances can be tight right now so please get in touch if you would like to discuss payment plan options, WINZ funded sessions, or I Am Hope funded sessions (for 25 year olds and under, see the I Am Hope page for more info).
I am a registered provider with Aoake Te Rā, who fund up to 6 sessions for people bereaved by suicide.
If you have health insurance, check your policy as sessions with a clinical psychologist like me may be covered by your insurer.
Another option is for us to have a set number of sessions if you have specific goals in mind (see this website about how to get the most out of therapy). I am also in the process of registering with ACC for sensitive claims.
I have over 10 years of experience in a variety of clinical and non-clinical industries including clinical psychology and supporting people affected by loss and trauma.
I am passionate about empowering people to overcome the obstacles they face in order to thrive.
